REMARKS/ARGUMENTS

In response to the Examiner's Office Action of July 26, 2007 the Applicant
respectfully submits the accompanying Amendment of the abstract and claims, and the
below Remarks.

Regarding Amendment

In the Amendment:

the abstract is amended to be in proper form;

Independent claim 1 is amended to be directed to a — printhead integrated circuit—, to
clarify that each nozzle chamber has an ink ejection port and that each ink ejection port is
arranged adjacent a distal end portion of the respective moving component with, respect to
the respective working member and energy transmitting means. Support for these
amendments can be found in pending dependent claim 2 and at page 7, line 7-page 9, line 1 1
of the present specifi cati on;

dependent claim 2 is cancelled accordingly;

dependent claim 3 Is amended to be directly dependent from, and to conform with,
amended claim 1; and

dependent claims 4-10 are amended to conform with amended claim ! .

It is respectfully submitted that the Amendment does not add any new matter to the
present application.

Regarding Specification Objections

It is respectfully submitted that the above-described amendment to the abstract
provides the correction required by the Examiner.

Regarding Double Patenting Rejecti&m

The Examiner is respectfully requested to withdraw the statutory double patenting
rejections over US Patent No, 6,513,908, based amended claims 1 md 2-10 do not recite the
same invention as claims 1-10 of US Patent No, 6,513,908.
